Just A Thought

 This is a tough one.  I don’t believe I have ever used this to hold a candle or found any other use for it.  I believe I purchased it from a thrift store.  It should definitely go with my pile of tag sale and Goodwill items.  But, but, it’s for Christmas and it has snow and snowflakes and evergreen trees, and the colors of it are so pretty and the snow is sparkly.  I know.  WRGAF  I think I could probably write a manual, though, on reasons why people desire to hold onto things.     

 Oh dear, my resolve to clean out my garage of stuff that is not being used is wavering upon looking through a drawer full of notebooks and journals with unused pages.  These I feel I should keep. Yes, I need to fill up more notebooks with random written stuff to scatter around to make work for myself later on when I need to read through it all to decide what to do with it.  Leave it to me to be a hoarder of anything with which I can create further cleaning projects for myself.  😲 These thoughts have actually led me to think about space junk.  How many pieces of space junk have human beings left to orbit around our planet?  Whoever would have thought that a life form on our planet could take transformed physical material from our planet and put it into orbit outside of our planet’s atmosphere.  Aliens might look at us and say, “Oh my! Humans, you have ring around the planet!” “Ring around the planet. Ring around the planet.”  “You humans need some celestial Wisk to take care of that!”

 Things belong together. For example, a plate that I have saved that is meant to be used underneath of a candle should be with whatever candles I have.  If I value the usefulness of this plate, then it should be kept with my candles and not in some drawer in the garage where I forget that it exists.  That just doesn’t make any sense at all.  I don’t know what has taken hold of me to suddenly experience such organization and storage enlightenment.  😂  Oh and any currently unused nightlights that I still wish to keep should be stored in the same location as night light bulbs.  It just makes the most sense.  Oh thank you fairy of storage knowledge for the imparting of your beautiful wisdom! 😚🩷 😯 My miscellaneous drawer is proving to be work.  I’m realizing that most of its contents should really be stored somewhere else.  I’m not finished yet so this may prove to be true of all of its contents. 

 I have finished going through and cleaning out everything in my house with the exception of paper stuff that I still have to work on.  I have multiple notebooks worth of notes and so forth. 😲 I evidently like to make work for myself by writing lots of stuff that I eventually have to clean up and organize or get rid of.  Now I am off to tackle cleaning out the garage. I actually previously worked on it a little, but now that I have gone through everything in the house, I can devote my full attention to the garage.  I usually just drop off stuff that I no longer need at Goodwill but my son and his girlfriend want to have A tag sale, so my goal is to make the decision to put as much stuff in the tag sale as possible.  I’m really serious about trying to hang onto as little seldom or never used stuff as possible.  There are always going to be a few exceptions as far as items that I consider worth keeping, but the goal is to keep them at a bare minimum.  Let the garage clean out commence!

 I don’t know how we are already into the third month of the year 2024, but here we are.  We now have ten months remaining to accomplish whatever we hoped to accomplish during this year.  😂 As is always the case, there is plenty that I would still like to accomplish.  I have been making very good progress though with my 2024 “operation house decluttering”, so I do feel this year has thus far been personally productive.  Being in tune with thinking and writing on the other hand, seems to have taken a backseat.  Oh well, we feel inspired to focus on different things at different times.  Philosophical ponderings are remaining quiet in my subconscious at the moment.  I do feel like I am on track though to continue having a productive year.  That is certainly my hope anyway.  So onward 2024! 😁👍

My brain has been quiet and not much in thinking or writing mode lately because I have been in cleaning mode and focused, once again, on organizing my life and getting rid of unneeded clutter.  I guess this is the minimalist in me that doesn’t truly exist but does have an influence against my tendency to collect and hold onto everything that could be useful if I was actually making use of it all.  I guess the older I get, the more I have a desire to not be surrounded by clutter that isn’t currently important and useful to me.  Getting organized is also something that always makes me happy.  So this is where my thinking lies until I finish going through every room that contains my things (including the garage), and every closet, cabinet, drawer, storage container, box, file and notebook in my house.   I have actually to some extent been like this since I was a kid.  It always bothered me as a kid if my closet got too messy.  I would periodically pull everything out of my closet and into

 A thought just occurred to me.  With each passing decade and generation, parenting has become a much more complicated thing than it ever previously was.  Imagine being a parent of young children nowadays, and having to make decisions about your child’s use of the internet, social media gaming, virtual reality, augmented reality and etc., and also having to figure out how to regulate their use of these technologies and balance this with other activities and responsibilities of life.  Now on top of this, they will also have to make decisions about whether or not to allow their children to directly communicate with artificial intelligence via its chat capabilities. Artificial intelligence can now be used by them not only as a source of information, but also as an empathetic listener and source of guidance and advice.  I found the perfect way to make use of the time when I find myself having to wait in any long lines such as the one that I encountered yesterday at the post office. I can just go back and reread things that I have previously written, and work on any edits and improvements that I feel should be made.  This eats up a lot of time, so the line then feels as though it is moving very rapidly.  I don’t care if I stand there looking like a typical 21st-century person whose life has become consumed by a smart phone.  Why not do something productive with my time standing in line.  Smart phones, enable people to do lots of productive things.  They are not all bad.  Naysayers can make their comments.  Those of us from pre smartphone generations have all done and do this at times, and yes, smart phones do have their drawbacks, but the truth and reality is they are now part of our lives, and they are here to stay.  Note: Looking at stuff on a cell phone is not a good choice when waking up in the mi

 I love when I find myself in a motivated kind of mood.  The kind of mood where I feel ready, willing and eager to tackle tasks and challenges and implement new ideas.  Motivation is a feeling of enthusiasm about life’s potentials and possibilities.  It is the feeling of wanting to be productive in making positive changes.  It is the feeling of having knowledge or confidence in one’s own creative abilities which can be used to achieve successful outcomes.  But where does the feeling of motivation come from and why does it falter.  Wouldn’t it be amazing if our brains had a motivation toggle switch that we could set to the on position and keep in this position, unless we were in the mood to slow down for a little while?  In reality though, motivation is a mindset that we somehow have to achieve for ourselves.  There should be a motivation manual with user tips and tricks.  If only life came with a flow chart that we could refer back to, to find our next steps whenever we ran into roadbl

 I have to say this, and I don’t care who might disagree with me.  I will be beyond disappointed if Donald Trump gets the GOP nomination and is once again elected as our country’s president.  I know the vote of the people is what democracy is about and how it works, but I won’t be able to wrap my head around how such a thing could happen.  Those who are entrusted with and have the highest authority and responsibility for the well-being of others should never be the source of harm and dysfunction.  It is a sad situation when individuals who cause harm are granted respect, and a paycheck for doing so.  Our country will be thrown back into Trump devision again.  We don’t need to all go back to being divided into those who are politically for and against Trump.  Once was enough. Our country does not need to move backwards again into all that chaos.  Lord help us. For some reason, the thought of censorship popped into my mind.  I found myself reflecting back to the Donald Trump presidency, and then a worldwide pandemic on top of that, with an online proliferation of misinformation and conspiracy theories, and other craziness such as QAnon, and somehow my thoughts landed on censorship.  And this is the thought insight that popped into my head.  People oppose censorship, but in reality, the greater the absence of censorship, the greater will become the need for the existence censorship.  I don’t mean to be making any statement about who or what should or shouldn’t be censored, but just that I have the insight that ultimately censorship is necessary when there is a need to stop the sharing and spreading of harmful information.  To make a biological comparison, it is like the necessity of having an immune system to heal and protect a body from sickness.   Makes me wonder.  Do we choose and author all of our thoughts or do we also just listen to hear

 I like this phrase.  “The experiences of our ancestors, and all those who came before us, echo through the corridors of time.” I just deleted the rest of what I wrote because it sounded like such a cliché assessment of human experience.  I believe that I would prefer to be in new innovative thinking or humor mode.

 Family are people with whom a real and important connection exists regardless of how infrequently they may see or even sometimes communicate with each other.

I asked DeepArt for a “Beautiful image”.  I guess it knows that I love water.  A lot of the colors are unrealistic but I still think these images are beautiful.  I added one actual photo as a mystery to be solved.  Hmm, which image is real? The image below must be planet purple.  If I remember correctly, there was a planet purple on the PBS children’s program “Mr. Rogers Neighborhood”. This must be planet colorful. This must be the planet of bioluminescent waters.  Cool.  I would definitely be into that. More planet, purple.
