Just A Thought

  When we have empathy for others and wish to extend our kindness and concern to them, we are also engaging in an act of self-care for our own hearts and souls.  This is an important lesson for human beings to learn in life.  It is very unfortunate at this time that there are world leaders who are completely blind and fail to comprehend the truth of this reality and that they have followers who don’t comprehend this failing and weakness in the so called leaders that they believe in and support as leaders.  Empathy and kindness is something that all human beings are worthy of and deserving of receiving.  There are no people on this planet who are less deserving or worthy than any others of being treated with human decency, fairness and compassion.

 I was going to try to slow down and add less new content so I could have a chance to edit and improve what I have already written and then I had another thought.  I just had this idea that Americans should all start sending Donald Trump videos showing him the most hard to watch images and stories coming from Gaza.  I do wonder, if he did actually watch them, could he be persuaded to care?  Might he find himself desiring to cease condoning, supporting and funding the devastation and murder of the innocent people of Gaza?  Or is that not within the realm of his psychological mindset? For puzzle lovers, this is a great app and is very addicting! 😄👍 If I have to get sucked into screen time, this is a much better brain activity than watching videos.  I just force the app closed when the commercials start between games and then reopen the app and then the next puzzle starts without having to watch the commercial. 🫢 Of course commercials are worth watching a little bit because some might lead to finding other good apps. 

People deserve better and shouldn’t have to needlessly go through so much turmoil and distress.  Things don’t need to and shouldn’t be this way.  Yesterday felt like a good positive day. 👍😄 Hmm, perhaps the “No Kings” protests had something to do with it.  Positivity was in the air.

 An interesting thing about genealogy is identifying as being a descendent from several different families from different generations and they are all important and a part of your identity and personal history.

President Trump‘s “big beautiful bill”. President Trump wants to take power away from the judicial branch of government.  This is what happens when a convicted criminal is allowed to run for the presidency of the United States of America.  There need to be laws against this so it can never happen again. I pray with all my heart that the United States of America will get through this Trump 2nd term and be ok again.  What is happening to our country is only for the now.  This is my prayer.  I pray for my country and for all us, and I am not really even a believer in prayers.  I guess maybe I do believe in prayers.   And I would like to also say prayers to the rest of the world and those who are sadly experiencing terrible things even in the 21st-century. The McArthy era was just brought to my attention.  I never knew anything about it.  I was not a good history student. 

 Sometimes I have thoughts that are gift to me and sometimes they are my own.  I think they sometimes are a combination of both.  I guess that makes sense if I find them in my own head.  What I do truly know, though, is that there is a greater source from which we human beings can draw intelligence, wisdom and clarity when we find our way to tap into it. 

 On life’s mistakes.  I know this sounds very cliché and obvious, but I think important ideas are worth restating and remembering.  I believe the most important thing about life‘s mistakes is not to have never made any, but to have learned from them.  None of us are perfect or have lived perfect lives, and as human beings, we will continue to make mistakes.  We can though always hold in our hearts, a desire to learn from our errors and become better human beings.  It is also important to remember, though, that when we follow this path, we are our own worst critics and we should also remember to be kind to ourselves.
