 Perhaps Mr. Trump never studied or learned about the meaning and purpose of the three separate branches in American Government.  He is not supposed to use his power and his branch of government to threaten and try to manipulate and control the other the other two branches of government. 😔 Mr. Trump did not complete his statement below.  I was trying to comprehend the conclusion to this statement but there was none. “ If the Dumocrats, or any RINO (or worse!) working with them, do not allow a positive Vote on SAVE AMERICA, TERMINATE THE FILIBUSTER, and pass this, and every other Bill that true Republicans have ever dreamt of (In addition to the upcoming Budget BOMB and the 1929 catastrophic style DEBT CEILING BILL!).”  And here Mr. Trump shares an image featuring himself at the heart and center of America’s 250 year history and anniversary.  To the left is a much smaller image of some of our nation’s founding fathers.

 This was just a thought of reflection.  I’m sure that we all look back at times from our younger years at things we did or said and think, “What the heck was I thinking?”  If there is a human being for whom this doesn’t hold true, I would be quite amazed. 

 I just had some thoughts about political elections.  I thought we would see sanity prevail during our last presidential election in 2024.  I don’t know what happened then, but the unthinkable happened.  Now we have the midterm elections coming up in 4 months.  I once again would like to believe that sanity will prevail, and people will know better than to keep the Republicans, a.k.a Trump’s supporters and enablers, in power.  It’s harder to believe in sanity and rationality though when you have already seen it fail.  I think waiting for this year’s midterm elections actually holds more anxiety than the last presidential election.  I can only speak for myself, but I won’t be voting for any damn Republicans.  I comprehend how serious it all is.

  I read the book “Not Without My Daughter” many years ago.  It is about an American mother who was stuck along with her daughter in the county Iran with an abusive husband.  It is her story of trying to escape to return to America.  There were a lot of things in this book that were really hard to stomach involving cleanliness (or lack thereof) and food standards and practices.  It described a culture that was very different from American culture.   I read this book in early 1991 when I was in the first trimester of pregnancy with my first child and I was suffering from all day morning sickness, because I am just brilliant like that. 🤢  I didn’t know what the descriptions of life in Iran would be like until I was reading the book.  The only things that I have ever learned or know about the country of Iran, I learned from reading this book.  Above all I learned that it was very difficult to be a woman in Iran particularly for an American woma...

 I procrastinate doing things that I’m afraid will be difficult or are unfamiliar to me and I don’t know what to expect or how exactly how to go about doing these things.  You would think that as we get older, we shouldn’t have to still learn and figure out new things, but this isn’t how life works.  And I have one other thought.  Of everyone in my family, I believe I am the one who takes everything with our government, the most seriously and worries the most.   I really don’t want to be an unduly concerned and hyper focused worry wart, but it is all quite worrisome.  And it seems like a lot of people don’t really grasp how worrisome it is.  Especially when we don’t yet know what the outcome will be or how quickly our government can recover and move forward in a more normal and positive manner.  Can the end of one man’s political career suddenly change everything and eliminate a whole crazy backward political landscape that he created and set into...

 I watched Trump’s speech and the fireworks and celebration afterward.  Trump evidently for the most part stuck to a prepared speech and was on his better behavior.  He did of course throw in his comments about the United States and the American people being better and superior to any other people or country in the world.  He also made his comments about communism and communists in obvious reference to the democrats and any and all of his political opponents.  For Trump though, his behavior was much better than I expected and he stayed grounded in the theme of celebrating America’s 250th anniversary.  There were also military veterans who were included and honored during Trump’s speech.  The fireworks display was huge and went on and on as military members sang and performed as popular song after song was played.  There was a very good turnout of people unlike the abysmal attendance at the Great American State Fair in the days leading up to the 4t...

 I am finishing watching the Abraham Lincoln documentary on Netflix today.  I don’t know why, but I have always felt a strong connection with the past.  For some reason my feeling today is positive.  Our country does not by any means have a perfect or spotless history.  It has though come through dark and troublesome periods and pushed forward as a nation of freedom, democracy and opportunity.  I believe it will do so again.  I don’t by any means wish to whitewash or fail to acknowledge all those in our countries history who have been deeply mistreated and harmed such as slaves and native Americans.  Their stories absolutely deserve acknowledgment and respect and remembrance as the true stories and history of our nation.  What I believe in is the potential of the United States of America to continue to move forward in its evolution and progress toward becoming its very best version and land of diversity, equality, respect and opportunity for ...

What is going on?  It’s getting to the point where we can’t even tell how much human involvement there is in AI created content.  This Instagram profile has short AI generated educational videos.  Did a human create this profile?  Is a human being putting it together?  Is a human being taking AI generated videos and adding them to an Instagram profile that they created specifically for this purpose?  Is it possible that we could be at the point where artificial intelligence is creating its own profiles on social media?  I don’t know how to determine this.  How are we supposed to know?  Is it possible that things like social media profiles are being created entirely by artificial intelligence?  How will we know?
