Trumps “Big Beautiful Bill”

President Trump‘s “big beautiful bill”. President Trump wants to take power away from the judicial branch of government.  This is what happens when a convicted criminal is allowed to run for the presidency of the United States of America.  There need to be laws against this so it can never happen again.

I pray with all my heart that the United States of America will get through this Trump 2nd term and be ok again.  What is happening to our country is only for the now.  This is my prayer.  I pray for my country and for all us, and I am not really even a believer in prayers.  I guess maybe I do believe in prayers.  

And I would like to also say prayers to the rest of the world and those who are sadly experiencing terrible things even in the 21st-century.

The McArthy era was just brought to my attention.  I never knew anything about it.  I was not a good history student.

COVID

One of the unsettling things about COVID-19 was that before actually contracting it, no one could be absolutely certain where they might fall on its’ Russian roulette wheel of lethalness.  Healthy people with few risk factors could take comfort in believing that they would be unlikely to become seriously ill, but there were always stories and cases in the news of young and seemingly unlikely victims who had in fact lost their lives to COVID.  When I finally got it myself in summer 2022, I had very brief and mild symptoms.  I might totally have my vaccinations to thank for this because in years gone by before I started getting annual flu shots, I had some flus that did a good job of kicking my but and keeping me down for a full week. I must have written that for the benefit of some future people who know little about COVID-19, because obviously anyone who has recently gone through the pandemic doesn’t need this information. 🫢

Thoughts & Insights

 Sometimes I have thoughts that are gift to me and sometimes they are my own.  I think they sometimes are a combination of both.  I guess that makes sense if I find them in my own head.  What I do truly know, though, is that there is a greater source from which we human beings can draw intelligence, wisdom and clarity when we find our way to tap into it.

Music & Animals

 Why is it that other species of animals can’t appreciate music in the way that humans do?  I’ve never seen a dog respond in any way to music.  Maybe I am wrong.  There are a lot of other species on the planet and in the ocean.  An interesting thing is that my dog who was very fearful of noises, never minded or cared when I would play music in my car.  She would just sit there and be perfectly calm and fine.
