September In South Texas

 September in Texas isn’t the start of more fall like weather.  It is one of our hottest months along with July and August.  It is true that by the end of September the nights start to be somewhat cooler but the days certainly don’t feel any different from our South Texas Summer. 🥵 It’s not hot inside thank goodness, but no one here is lamenting the end of summer weather in September! ☀️

 The McAllen TX airport set up a really nice Dia De Los Muertos display.  It’s not a part of my own culture, so I have never celebrated the holiday, but I really like the idea of remembering and celebrating those who have passed on!  It’s a great Mexican tradition and I loved the movie Cocoa! 😂

Genealogy

 I think it is time to get back to working on Genealogy and my family history research.  After Christmas, that is. 😄 Update:  Fast-forward eight months and I still haven’t done this and it is currently not a priority.  I always have lots of ideas!  Currently, I am working on editing all my posts on my blog here.  At least I am making good progress with this. 👍 I still have my other blog to get to though! 🙀
