How The World Has Changed
Our ancestors who lived before even the time of telephones had only one way to communicate with family members or friends living at a distance from them, and that was by writing letters and waiting for them to be delivered through what we now call snail mail. That is a striking difference from the world that we now live in when you really stopped to think about it. There is also another striking difference in the present that I have thought about it recently. Our newest human beings in the world will have no memory of an existence with both the Internet and artificial intelligence incorporated into their lives. It struck me that this is a huge and striking difference. To us older generations, there was a time when these things could only be science fiction. Now for the world‘s newest human beings life without these technologies is just a story from the past. It is just an idea of something that they know once was that is foreign from their own experience. Life with Internet and AI will be the only human experience they will know. It’s a strange new world.
