Listening


 Sometimes when I want to find, within my mind, better ways of understanding or verbalizing something, all I have to do is pause, rewind my thoughts, and listen for some simplified and intuitive clarity.

Art Laffer Speech?

Did this man, Art Laffer, give a speech anywhere yesterday?  I couldn’t find anything online and neither could a couple of AI sources that I read.  Did Mr. Trump just imagine this?  It wouldn’t surprise me at all if this was the case.  Update 12/15/25 As of this time (and I have been looking), I have seen no mention of this Truth Social post of Mr. Trump’s on any of the independent news channels that I like to check for news.   I guess there is always just so much going on with Donald Trump and his regime that no one can pay attention to or keep up with everything.

Hidden Figures

 I’m still watching the movie “Hidden Figures” but it’s an amazing movie.  I take back what I said about rocket scientists.  I only wish that I had that kind of mind and in particular like the minds of the hidden figures.  If I say that I don’t need to be a rocket scientist it is because I couldn’t be a rocket scientist.  People just have to accept their limits and not have a bad attitude about it.  I didn’t really have a bad attitude, but I know that legions of women have dealt with this for just trying to reach their potential.  Also, it crazy to think that things were still so bad for African Americans as late as the 1960s.  I know that things are still far from perfect, but thank goodness for progress!

Day Of The Dead

 The McAllen TX airport set up a really nice Dia De Los Muertos display.  It’s not a part of my own culture, so I have never celebrated the holiday, but I really like the idea of remembering and celebrating those who have passed on!  It’s a great Mexican tradition and I loved the movie Cocoa! 😂
