Just A Thought

 Sometimes when I want to find, within my mind, better ways of understanding or verbalizing something, all I have to do is pause, rewind my thoughts, and listen for some simplified and intuitive clarity.

Science is a domain of knowledge that can only advance itself through its own prescribed and necessary process.  The fact is, though, that realities exist whether or not science has come to knowledge and understanding of them.  Therefore, the realities that we experience will hold true and shape our existence regardless of the belief or opinion of science.  People are wise to trust in the validity of their own experiences and to honor those experiences in constructing their own foundations of knowledge and belief.  I don’t distrust science.  I’m just open to trusting in knowledge and understanding that comes not only from science.

 Dust.  Why does it have to exist?  If I could go back in time to the day I chose my bedroom furniture, I would definitely choose the gray color rather than black.  I preferred the look of the black furniture but dust is so much more visible on black colored furniture and it always comes right back.  🫤

 I was reminded of and have fond memories of these silly little plastic monkeys.  🙉 ❤️💙💛

 I just had an insight about answers.  Sometimes answers lie outside of ourselves.  We are but one piece in stories that have a lot of other parts.  

 I just had this light bulb or maybe it would be better described as a clarity moment.  What I desire in my ideal existence would be the absence of stress.  Meeting challenges doesn’t have to include stress when challenges are desired, are a product of self motivation and are self paced.  We need challenges for fulfillment and happiness but not stress.  Making choices in life to minimize stress is wise and a perfectly legitimate choice if it is what a person desires and needs.  When we operate with self motivation we find peace and happiness in our choices and we discover our purposes.  We give our best by choosing to invest in our own happiness.  Preferring an absence of stress is actually not a revelation for me.  I just hadn’t thought of trying to mentally elaborate on it before.

I know what my goal for the new year is and I should actually start before the new year.  I need to get rid of and donate a lot of stuff that I don’t use and don’t need to keep.  I did a thorough job of this in 2018 before we moved that summer but I need to do it again.  I always find that when time passes I am willing to let go of a lot stuff that I previously felt the need to hold onto.  With four of us living in a very modest sized home, our storage spaces are filled up!  There will only be three of us before too long but this job still needs to be done again.  A minimalist I am not, but I really do like the idea of keeping things simple.  Even my darn phone is a mess.  I guess this would be called a digital mess. 🫤 And forget about email.  I have tried to unsubscribe from lots of stuff and even once managed to get my inbox emptied but no matter what, it eventually still fills up with new emails by the thousands. 🤦‍♀️ I know that we all deal with this or ignore it and just have th

 Do birds have an appreciation for music?  I know that birds are actually very intelligent animals and I have seen other videos where larger parrot type birds seemed to actually be dancing to the sound of music.  As a human being, it is hard to imagine why to other animals, such as dogs and cats, music is just sound that has no emotional effect.  We human beings are very lucky to appreciate and have an emotional connection with music. https://www.instagram.com/reel/CzUSOY-C4Xm/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

 It caught me again.  I tested positive for COVID today. 

My dearly departed Uncle Roger had an interesting proclamation about dogs and cats.  “Dogs are boys and cats are girls.” Me (as a child): So boy cats are girls because they are cats?   Uncle Roger: Yes, that’s right.  Cats are girls.      😄😂 Recently he seems to be in my thoughts quite a bit. I remember Marsupial & Joey. I remember my aunt lightheartedly lamenting that her summer vacation would soon be shot, beginning almost immediately upon arriving at the campground.  How fitting that she would eventually be a year round resident of Cape Cod! 😄 🌊 🏖️ ☀️

 Here is my thought proclamation for the evening.  “Nothing that ever was shall ever cease to be.”  I’m assuming that this was referring to people and our connections with people.  I don’t know why these things write themselves into my mind.  They just do and I like listening to wise words when I hear them.

 I think I am still really confused about the Covid virus.  I’m told that from a biological and scientific standpoint this shouldn’t be surprising at all, but I still find myself having trouble understanding how it could have had such a damaging effect on some people, and barely any effect at all on others.  How is this possible???

 Sometimes committing ourselves to taking baby steps is the best way to make progress or finish anything that might otherwise feel too overwhelming.  I know this notion and these words are cliche for 21st century thought and speech, but it is solid and helpful advice. 

  I have never really liked this ornament.  I don’t know if it is supposed to be an ornament of clothing or a headless, limbless German man.  It is shaped liked clothing with a body inside of it.  That is what makes it so weird.  It needs a head for God’s sake. 😧 I don’t remember where we acquired this ornament from.

 I love this picture (minus the clutter) and I love the relationship that they have with each other even more! ❤️❤️

  I was laughing too much about our swamp turkey and long story short, my writing space has been discovered by DD.

  Why did the Christmas tree go to the barber?    It needed a trimming.  This was my own joke.  The actual Robin Williams would be rolling his eyes, but I’m good at finding lame humor funny. 🤭😂
