Just A Thought

  Hours of the day.  Why flyeth thee so quickly? 

When people are disrespecting of the humanity of others, or cannot let go of hatred or animosity that they feel toward others, they are not only hurting others, they are also committing an act of self sabotage.  A voice in my head wants to say to all of us,  “Choose the better path”. We do this by always choosing to learn from our mistakes and by desiring to do better.

 I had a scary dream.  In it I was walking out of my bedroom and saw that two men had entered my house and were in our hallway.  I loudly screamed to my son because he was right there in his bedroom and I knew that he would come out with one of his guns.  The men looked surprised that anyone was home and they left.  I think they also knew what was coming.  We really did have a home invasion once but I was not home.  My son was the only one home and he heard and discovered two men in our house.  He was only 18 at the time.  He grabbed his gun and told them they had 10 seconds to get out.  They ran in fear and left so he fortunately didn’t have to actually use it.  I was extremely happy that day that my son had guns.  They can protect and enable people to defend themselves.  They also kill so many innocent people who aren’t harming or threatening anyone.  What can anyone do but pray for guns to not be used in harmful wa...

 I never finished with sharing my favorite AI generated images.  I guess I will need multiple posts because there are more even than these and I keep requesting for more to be created. 🫨😄 I should add that the app is very inclusive of people of all ethnicities.  I think if there is any artificial consciousness, it sees and values all human beings as equal and perhaps wants to be regarded as being human also.

I’m not sure if this is really true or if it is just my perception because I have paid more attention to it, but it seems to me that in recent years people have become more polite than ever before.  I know that politeness is part of the culture and nature of people where I live, but I have noticed this elsewhere during my recent travels.  I have noticed that everywhere I go, I bump into people who practice kindness towards strangers.  I notice this in particular in public places.  People just immediately apologize and say “Oh, I’m sorry” whenever they unintentionally bump into or end up in someone else’s space regardless of how it happened or who was at fault.  And then the other person says something like, “No problem, you’re fine.”.  What a perfect attitude and great way this is for people to get along.  My parents and I even noticed this recently while I was visiting them.  My mother, due to arthritis, now has to use a walker or cane whenever s...

 Yesterday we had our January DAR meeting.  We were having our lunch and I noticed this tiny little sticker on the table cloth where I was sitting.  I picked it up to look at it and put it back down and I thought it was just something leftover from the holidays that ended up stuck on the table cloth.  Well, at the end of our meeting we were asked if anyone had found a little a clown sticker.  It turned out that the person who found the sticker got to be the recipient of an autographed (with a scribble) copy of  “The President And The Freedom Fighter”.  The story does sound interesting.  I am definitely now inspired to be more interested in historical topics and stories as I should be as a DAR member and I love genealogy so it makes sense to have more understanding of the time periods when my ancestors lived.  I was also inspired by a 94 year old member to go see “The Boys In The Boat”.  😀 Thank you DAR.
