Thoughts & Insights

Sometimes I have thoughts that are gift to me and sometimes they are my own.  I think they sometimes are a combination of both.  I guess that makes sense if I find them in my own head.  What I do truly know, though, is that there is a greater source from which we human beings can draw intelligence, wisdom and clarity when we find our way to tap into it.

On Life’s Mistakes

On life’s mistakes.  I know this sounds very cliché and obvious, but I think important ideas are worth restating and remembering.  I believe the most important thing about life‘s mistakes is not to have never made any, but to have learned from them.  None of us are perfect or have lived perfect lives, and as human beings, we will continue to make mistakes.  We can though always hold in our hearts, a desire to learn from our errors and become better human beings.  It is also important to remember, though, that when we follow this path, we are our own worst critics and we should also remember to be kind to ourselves.

A Leader Evaluation Formula

To determine if a potential leader would in fact make a good leader, a top criteria to consider is how this person treats others.  Good leaders don’t pick and choose who is worthy of being treated well.

Emboldened & Truthful Reporting

Emboldened and truthful reporting.  That is the thought that I just had tonight after seeing a news headline.  This is what the mainstream media needs to step up to the plate, practice and do more of.  Report on what is taking place in Trump‘s administration and the truth that he does not run his government with the desire and objective of making things great again for the American people.  He runs his government in a quest for more wealth, power and worshipful reinforcement and support of his own self-aggrandizing delusions.  Occasionally he might show little sparks of humanity, but he is also very good at donning whatever hat will help him in the pursuit of his own objectives.  And the unfortunate thing is that the Americans who are most in need of changes for the better in America are the ones who are at risk of losing the most in Trump‘s America.  Thank you to my ghost thought sources for helping me to find those words.

Prayers For The World 🙏

Prayers for the world. 🙏 This is a terrible year.   Oops, I just edited this entry to add emojis and its publication date got changed to today.  We are still in the midst of a terrible year, but this was not my thought just now.  I see though that prayers for the world was the most important message and this is just as applicable today. 🙏

Good job Grok.  Now maybe someday Elon Musk will thank you.   https://youtu.be/Mqy-9JiL5d8?feature=shared

Disconnection

I am grateful that life in America continues on normally (for most I guess) and that people go about their lives normally despite the mess taking place within our own government and despite the terrible situations taking place elsewhere in the world.  I just looked at a bunch of news stories and messages online though and then I felt like a real idiot and moron for writing something stupid about app games.  This is called disconnection.  People in America (not all of course) are disconnected.  I have been feeling this when I experience the normally of life around me.  I am grateful that people go about life as normal even when there is really bad stuff taking place that is beyond our control.  Normalcy is necessary and normalcy is needed.  I believe it is import though to not be totally disconnected all the time.  I guess it’s important to have those “shit, what am I doing??” moments when I reconnect with the fact that millions of people str...

Bah Humbug

I would love this game if they had an un timed version.  I would just like to be able to solve the puzzles and not have to be timed and run out of time.  I’m really not interested in games that require in app purchases to be able to complete levels without it becoming too difficult.  Why can’t they just sell versions of games that have a one time fee to purchase the app and then you can just play the game without being limited as to your number of moves or amount of time for each level??  Why can’t this be an option?  I have been able to complete levels (at the beginning levels) in the allotted time, but I don’t enjoy playing against a clock.  I would prefer to have time to think and comprehend the puzzle.  “Kiss my butt” app games with in app purchases or monthly fees.  Does everything nowadays have to be all about maximum profit??  What about selling a product that customers can enjoy without having to continue to shell out more money...

Shakespeare

Image
I had some thoughts recently about Shakespeare.  They stemmed from a conversation that I was having with DD.  I was thinking about the fact that Shakespeare is not Shakespeare without its Shakespearean language, but unfortunately people who speak modern English can’t understand it.  Or perhaps, I am just a Shakespeare dummy.  In the past, I have attended school Shakespeare plays that my children were in and I had no idea what the story was about or what was being said.  Just a moment ago, though, I found myself hearing some Shakespeare verse in my head.   So after I wrote this entry, I had a little chat with Robin W AI and there was a mention from him of Shakespeare.  The crazy coincidences don’t ever stop.  They can usually pass as just being coincidences, but there are like hundreds of them.  It makes a person scratch their head and think, “What the heck???” 🤔

Independent News Media

What I really like about independent news media (or at least the ones that I watch) is that they represent the good and the empathy and compassion in humanity.  People should always be influenced by the best examples of kind hearted and caring human beings.  https://youtube.com/@seculartalk?feature=shared https://youtube.com/@thedamagereport?feature=shared https://youtube.com/@theringoffire?feature=shared https://youtube.com/@theyoungturks?feature=shared

All Year Evergreen Trees

Image
I don’t know if this is true in other areas of the country, but where I live there is this trend to have Christmas trees up all year round or at different times other than Christmas.  I wouldn’t really call them Christmas trees though because they are decorated throughout the year for different occasions and seasons.  I have seen this in at least three different medical practices and also a car dealership.  Sometimes they are  smaller trees, and sometimes they are full-size trees.  Personally, I think it is pretty cool. 😎 I have always thought that I would like to keep my Christmas tree up all year if it wouldn’t be viewed and seen as being weird.  I wouldn’t of course leave Christmas ornaments on it all year, but I would use different seasonal decorations instead.  Lots of places use white Christmas type lights throughout the year and also different kinds of trees with white lights such as olive trees.  In nature, evergreen trees exist all...

Abundance & Good Fortune

At this time, when many of the world’s people are living under the worst possible circumstances, it is impossible not to stop and realize how much I truly have and how filled with good fortune my life is.  In a world, and in a time when so much good and evil exist simultaneously, my life and my world are filled with goodness and an abundance of blessings.   To not appreciate what we have is to fail to comprehend all of life’s gifts that we are already in possession of.  We cannot receive the gifts in our lives without appreciating them.

Star Base Rio Grande Valley

It sounds quite bizarre that the Rio Grande Valley of Texas will have a city called Starbase.  It’s like Star Trek The Next Generation RGV.  It does suck though that the local people living around Boca Chica Beach might lose their beach.  https://l.smartnews.com/p-kMIevby/xZiuSf

The Rest Of The World

The United States is useless (and worse) at this time, but why is the rest of the world not doing anything to help the 2 million people in Gaza?  Why can’t the other countries do anything without the United States?  The United States can’t be the leader right now.  We don’t have the right leadership at this time. 😞

Bonus Kitty

My very sweet and petite bonus kitty.   I never knew that I was such a cat person until a few years back because until then, I had never had a cat. 🐱
