Just A Thought

 When I was younger, I always believed that I could count on being able to live at least as long as my grandmothers who lived to be 92 and 93 years old.  When I moved to Texas in 2009, I was 42 and I believed that I should have at least another 50 years left to live and that I had more life left to live than I had thus far lived.  Imagine that this was my calculation and belief just under 16 years ago!  It is amazing how quickly numbers and ideas can shift.  I now believe that living to the age of at least 90 is just a best case scenario and nothing that is guaranteed or can be counted on.  And now my best case scenario time left has flipped to being significantly less than what I have already lived.  It’s amazing what 16 years can do with numbers. 😲 On top of that, I have completely grasped the reality that life timelines come with no guarantees for anyone.  Some people are blessed with many years to live, and others have shorter timelines, and ...

 Yuck.  I never liked these. 🤢 I have always been a sweet tooth but I always thought that these were just overly sweet straight up sugary nastiness! 😝 I’m going through my phone screenshots to clean them out.  I take a lot of screenshots (often to see things better) that I don’t need to keep.  I also take a lot of screenshots because I think they contain information that I want to save but in reality, in the 21st-century, we are bombarded by information all the time and it is really not likely that I am going to go digging through buried screenshots to remember and look for more information.  There is this thing called the internet. 

 I’m so brilliant! 🤪 I just thought of a new name for fast food.  It should be called “keep me fat” food.  My DD Is having her masters degree defense today and I am hanging out nearby and waiting.  I got the Dunkin’ Donuts six dollar meal deal and a doughnut also!  I might top it off with a little piece of candy when I get home.  One of these years, I will get around to eating better at least while I am at home.  I love my junk food a bit too much. 😱 Why oh why can’t healthy food be as satisfying???  Badly conditioned taste buds I guess.  I do, though, think that candy can be healthy. 🍬 

 There is something that I really like about independent news media beside the fact that they are committed to honest reporting.  I love that they aren’t required and don’t feel obligated to follow any dress code.  They can dress up with more formality if they wish to and so choose, or they can opt to wear a nice sweatshirt or T-shirt if they prefer.  I love their informality and freedom to dress in whatever style of clothing they prefer.  They obviously need to dress in an adequately modest manner, but beyond that the clothing they choose is up to them.  I love that. 👍 😄 I think that people who are attempting to do good and just being who they are is perfect.  It is who people are and the morals that they believe in that truly matters! 💕

 I believe that Easter is a perfect time to reflect on and seek to be filled with a sense of peace and appreciation for all that we have.  Even when we feel that we already know and appreciate how blessed we, it is time to feel this on a deeper level.  It is a time to remember those who are lacking in even the most basic comforts and sense of safety and security.  It is a perfect time to seek to feel and appreciate the best morals and values that can create a healthy planet with peace, equity, inclusion and harmony among all human beings.  It is a perfect time to seek, and to appreciate, being on the right path.

  Who is afraid of Donald Trump?  This is the question that I have just found myself wondering about.  Is the rest of the world and are the leaders of other nations as afraid of Donald Trump and his power as American politicians?  Maybe they are or maybe they aren’t.  I think the answer to this question will have a very large bearing on whether or not America continues to be respected (if you can call it that) and not turned against and left to suffer the consequences of the failure of our free democracy and the failure of our alliances with other nations of the world.  I am no expert in these kind of matters, but this is just what I am feeling.  Will America as a strong nation and world leader (if you can call it that) survive at this time due to fear from the world of the power of Donald Trump?  I think this is sadly the place where we are at right now.  We need to pray for the return of the real America as it should be and this can’t happe...

  https://youtu.be/Mx7fcLSR_Ak?feature=shared No, not me.  I don’t ever forget or put it out of my mind.  I think about the people of Gaza and what is happening there every day and I have to check for news.  I wasn’t like this in the past about world events, but I am now and this one is just particularly beyond inhumane.  They have given the civilians of Gaza no safe place at all and no means to meet their basic needs.  They have not even been granted any safety or means of survival in refugee camps.  They are in fact, intentionally targeting them and committing genocide.  Ignoring it would be like ignoring what was going on in Nazi Germany.  

 Freedom of the press.  So many of the best things about America are failing to continue to exist at this time.  This past weekend there were “Hands Off” rallies of protest in every state across the nation and this amazing day of the American people seeking to have their voices heard has been given very little attention and reporting by the mainstream media as though it was just another news story and nothing of much importance or worth any special attention or coverage.  It should have been treated as the enormously important story that it actually was.  How incredibly sad and disappointing. 😔
